Limited Edition Cassette Maxi
Cassette + Digital Album
Harkening back to a simpler time when hip-hop was comprised of party rhymes and recognizable sounds, the almighty S Brothers are here with a maxi-single-style release that will have you dusting off your Walkman. Luke Sick (Sacred Hoop, Grand Invincible) and Doug Surreal (Jack Spaar, Motel Crew), two Bay Area underground hip-hop vets, approached this project as a way to pay homage to the Megamix era of hip-hop, about 1988-1991. Beyond just a good listening experience, well-versed hip-hop heads will have fun spotting all of the various references and callbacks to classic jams. Luke himself says it best when describing this tape as “the kind of hip-hop that made you fall in love with hip-hop.”

This is not like the rest out there. G-Pek with the filthy beats and Luke Sick with that flow that’ll shock your system. That Sweet Prince of Darkness is the cut and that Civil War Beat is so ill, Feudal Mules too. YallDontHearMe

I love DANKSLOB 1,2,3 and NYquil projects but as a native Texan, I am proud of Houstons Heritage, so while Nyquil needs recognition here im going to salute the concept of this project from Luke Sick, "On a Sick One" Anyone familiar with underground rap in Memphis, Houston Rap, and Chopped and Screwed can appreciate this. If you find yourself disagreeing, drink some NYQUIL and "get this gurp on!" -RBL COUSIN RYAN
